I have never before witnessed such an awesome family. Jason & Courtney, you made Raina's life an unforgetable one, just as she did for you. I am honored to have witnessed the true love that was exuded between the three of you.

  8. I have been following your blog from the start, and I just broke down in tears at the thought that little Raina has lost the unjust battle. I have lost many to cancer and it is ripping me into pieces knowing she is no longer here. May god be with you and your growing family.

  17. I am so sorry for your loss. Raina truly was one of the happiest babies I have ever had the privilege of taking care of. She was always smiling and so cheerful. Our family will keep you two in our prayers in the upcoming weeks. My daughter Alivia (3) saw this picture you posted of Raina and said "She's all better now!" I told her that she certainly was.

  18. Jason and Courtney,
We are so sorry to have learned of your tragic loss. Neither of us can quite comprehend why Raina was taken so soon and will honor her in our thoughts and preayers. We are proud of you both for how gracefully you fought until the very end. You have set the bar so extraordinarily high for the rest of us as parents and serve as a constant reminder of how precious family is.
    Love,
    Maria and Steve Sequin

  19. I have been following this blog ever since I saw it on Little Moon's months ago, and my heart is breaking for your family right now. I am so so sorry for your loss and can only imagine the pain you feel.

I don't know how much relief it will bring, but the song "Blessings" by Laura Story may bring some peace to you and your family.

  22. Courtney & Jason,

I am so heartboken for both of you and have been thinking about you all weekend. I just want you to know how sorry I am but how lucky I feel to have had the chance to take care of Raina and get to know your beautiful family! When I have kids someday I can only hope that I am half as an amazing parent as you both are. You never gave up, always had the best attitude, and stayed by Raina's side every second of every day! I will be praying for you and can't wait to see/hear all about Raina's new sister this January. Take care of yourselves, and please stay in touch!

    Love,
    Julia
