Raina and Dad walked down to the National Mall to get lunch and see the cherry blossoms with Jackie, Andrew and Ashlyn. Excellent weather. LOTS of people. Mom even ducked out of work early to meet up! Awsm! Aunt Jackie took some good pics. Here's one of the fam.

Play Dates

Today Raina had a play date with Grandma in the morning. Which consisted of eating, sleeping, reading and more eating. In the afternoon we went to hang with Aunt Jackie and Ashlyn. See Aunt Jackie's pics over at her site.

Ped Appt + Hoodie Redux

Raina's two month check up was this afternoon. She weighed in at 12lbs 2oz. Good eatin' kid! The Doc sez she's in the 75th percentile for length and 90th percentile for weight. Possibly a future in Baby Sumo is warranted. .. .

Mr. Mom

Momma is back to work and Dad's home for a few weeks. Raina celebrated with four projectile spit-ups within 20 minutes of getting up this morning. We managed to get some laundry done, wash some dishes and take a two hour nap.

Let the Record Show...

Raina's bath time is around 8pm every night. I usually take her from the changing table to the bathtub aka sink, nekkid, with a baby wipe covering her nether regions to guard against what I consider the inevitable. (Pooping, for those of you without an imagination)

Last night my beautiful wife went from the changing table to the "bathtub" with just her hand over over the business end of the baby. I commented that I thought this was folly... and that she was inviting disaster. Courtney replied "Oh puuhhlease, she won't poop in my hand!".

Now I, having not yet achieved a state of enlightened egolessness, set about wishing directly that Raina would crap in Courtney's hand each (and every) time she pulls that stunt. But that's not really the point. The point is that Courtney said what she said and I feel strongly that I need to get it on record now... so that it's all the sweeter when she comes to me with a hand full of baby doo-doo.

This I think is around 5 weeks. I'm too lazy to check the timestamp on the video. Very cute. I'm pretty sure this was Raina waking up after an hour long nap.

Tech-mology

I've figured out how to post from the comfort of my inbox. We'll call this couch potato blogging or CPB. Coincidentally this is also the ticker symbol for Campbell's Soup Company, makers of such delectable couch potato blog inducing products as Spaghetti-O's, Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies and Chunky Soups.

Raina decides that Grandma makes just as good a pillow as anyone else. Grandma Sue is keeping an eye on things. Courtney is learning new and exciting things from the Internet. The Internet is learning that Courtney is excited to be doing work from home.
